Expeditions into Ironveil
A squad-tactics roguelite. Draft three heroes, read every enemy strike before it lands, push foes into chasms and rocks, and lead your squad through the red-iron mesas of Ironveil. Unrolling the map…
Veilmarked is a Thornveil squad-tactics roguelite. Lead a small band of heroes through the red-iron mesas of Ironveil, one fight at a time, on a grid where every enemy shows you exactly where it will strike next. It is free in your browser on phone or PC, with no download.
Your squad is three heroes, and each hero's class decides their two skills. Six classes are open from the start: Knight, Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Ranger and Rogue. Nine more, including the Paladin, Barbarian, Engineer, Druid and Monk, are chartered at your Stronghold with the Lore ink you earn on expeditions. A Knight shields allies, a Cleric heals, a Wizard swaps places with foes, and a Ranger lobs shots over the line.
Pick a House, draft three heroes and walk the Veil map. A full Ironveil expedition is three delves, each a branching map of fights, shops, rests and events, and it ends against a dragon. Your first expedition is the shorter Proving Road: five steps and a warlord. Win it to unlock the full expedition and the Daily Expedition, where everyone gets the same squad, House, maps and fights that day.
No. Every enemy shows its attack tiles and damage before it strikes, and your skills always do exactly what they say, so each fight is a puzzle you can read.
The tutorial is one short fight and the Proving Road is five steps. A full expedition is three delves ending in a dragon fight, and you can stop at any point and pick it up later with Continue Expedition.
A new run every day, picked from the title screen once you have won the Proving Road. Everyone gets the same squad, House, maps and fights, so you can compare results with friends.
